Are you motivated to make a difference in the field of river restoration and environmental management? Working in the UK and Europe at the interface between science and practice, the RRC seeking a Science and Technical Officer to lead their involvement in a Citizen Science EU Horizon 2020 project and to participate in the development of tools and techniques for river restoration.

 

The River Restoration Centre (RRC) is the UK’s independent, information and advisory centre, supporting all aspects of river restoration, habitat enhancement and best practice river management. We are funded through UK environmental agency agreements, project work and training.

Your main duty will be to coordinate RRC’s involvement in the EU Horizon 2020 MICS project. You will be responsible for the coordination of a series of river restoration and citizen science case studies across four countries.  This will involve communicating, travelling and undertaking the design and implementation of survey tools and techniques in the UK, Italy, Romania and Hungary.
