Save the date: EuroGEOSS Workshop from 12-14 September 2018 in Geneva

This year, the EuroGEOSS Workshop (formerly the GEO European Projects’ Workshop and the European GEOSS Workshop), will take place in Geneva from 12-14 September 2018 at the University of Geneva and the nearby Museum of Ethnography. The event will be co-hosted by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), the University of Geneva and the EC. The overarching theme will be ‘EuroGEOSS’ which is the European regional GEOSS initiative launched in October 2017 by the European Caucus of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO). The EuroGEOSS vision is to significantly enhance environmental, social and economic benefits from the European participation in GEO. See: https://ec.europa.eu/info/research-and-innovation/knowledge-publications-tools-and-data/knowledge-centres-and-data-portals/eurogeoss_en for further details.

The Workshop provides a key opportunity for the European GEO community to meet and will gather many of those who are working on Horizon 2020 projects (Earth observation, Space, Research Infrastructures), working in GEO Participating Organisations and from the EU member states. There will be an opportunity for presentations and for posters. Precise details on thematic sessions and on how to apply for a time slot will be announced in a few weeks.

A dedicated Workshop website (https://ec.europa.eu/easme/en/eurogeoss-workshop-2018) will contain all relevant information as soon as it is available and will be used for registration for the event. Please keep an eye on this.
