X Iberian Congress of Water Management and Planning

2018 marks 20 years since the first Iberian Congress was held in Zaragoza, where the New Culture of Water Foundation was born as a knowledge network that questioned the dominant hydraulic paradigm and defended a new and sustainable way of managing our water resources. There are four thematic areas in this conference: AT1- Water planning, management and governance: progress, limits and future challenges in the application of the Water Framework Directive; AT2- Associated aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems (coastal and coastal): conservation and restoration; AT3- Climatic alterations, extreme hydrological phenomena and uses of water; AT4- Water and society: ethics, rights, culture and education.
